Alive Correlation Analytics:
Automatically "Connects the Dots" of Behavior Across the Enterprise
Alive automatically analyzes the metric data across your enterprise, continuously searching for patterns and relationships using two distinct and complementary correlation engines. Alive's Correlation Analytics does this in the following manner:
Calculates Correlations: The alert and metric correlation engine constantly calculates the correlation between each abnormal event and metric to automatically discover hidden relationships. These relationships can indicate that when a particular metric behaves abnormally, other abnormal behaviors will likely occur in a specific timeframe in the future.
Reduces Alert Volume and Predicts Future Problems: Relationships discovered by alert and metric correlation are used to reduce alert volume and predict future abnormal events, minimizing the time to identify problems and driving a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Builds Problem Model Library: Alive's Problem Fingerprint™ engine complements the alert and metric correlation engine by instantly creating statistical models of the building pattern of abnormalities that lead to problems. Problem Fingerprints come equipped with forensic information that assists in troubleshooting, including which tiers, components, and specific metrics of the application infrastructure experienced abnormal behavior in the sampling frames leading up to the problem occurrence.
Issues Predictive Alerts: Alive is always looking for patterns of abnormal behavior that match those stored in its Problem Fingerprints library. When a match is spotted, Alive issues a predictive alert indicating:
| ° | That the problem is looming |
| ° | The probability that it will occur |
| ° | An estimate of the time it will occur. |
Alive continually updates predictive alerts and probabilities as real-time events continue to match up with a Problem Fingerprint.
